I wasn't sure about the etiquette of adding this directly to the page, so I'm putting it here. Unfortunately, this doesn't fix the case where you do the blood seal and then they run back to the columns, probably because you can't rewind quests. Open the console and do "setstage MQ203 140" and they'll walk all the way to the blood seal, where everything will proceed as normal. When they walk up to the rotating columns there will be some dialogue, and then they'll be stuck. Be sure to enter the Karthspire cave together. Travel to the Karthspire camp with Delphine and Esbern, or meet them there.
